  • A search covers all sites and libraries you personally have access to.
  • What you must not see at Microsoft, the assistant does not find either. It works with your rights, not more.
  • PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text files are read. Scanned PDFs are made readable via OCR.

Connect

  1. 01Open Apps, Connectors area, Microsoft 365 tile.
  2. 02On the SharePoint card, click Connect.
  3. 03Sign in with Microsoft and confirm. Especially with SharePoint many organizations require IT approval; for that anymize shows you a button and a link to forward.
  4. 04Done. One sign-in covers the whole suite.

The quick file search that covers OneDrive and SharePoint in one call hangs on the Files area of the OneDrive card. If you use SharePoint, leave that area on.

Can anymize change anything on SharePoint?

No. For SharePoint there is not a single write action here. The assistant can search, open and summarize. It cannot upload, move, share or delete.

An exception that is not one: if the assistant finds a Word document or Excel workbook on SharePoint, it can append something at the end with your approval. That runs via the Word or Excel areas and shows the same approval card as everywhere. If those areas are off, that does not work either.

What gets anonymized

On SharePoint there is usually what several people need: procurement files, HR matters, minutes. File content is read and summarized in the EU, and that summary is anonymized before the large AI model gets it. Names of people involved, addresses, case numbers, procurement numbers and amounts with a personal link become placeholders.

The file name and the library name go through the same check, because both often already reveal the matter.
