Smart Select automatically picks a fitting model for the request. You can instead fix a model and limit the pool to EU or all providers.

What Smart Select does
Instead of picking a model every time, let Smart Select (often shown as Auto) choose. Selection follows the request and the allowed model pool.
EU pool and all models
You can limit the pool to EU-hosted models or allow all released models, including international frontier models. For sensitive cases without anonymization, the EU pool is the safe default mindset; with anonymization you may use frontier models without sending clear text.
Where you switch it
In chat and in the project you find model choice near the input. Smart Select / Auto sits next to concrete model names. In Governance Center admins decide which models the team may see at all.
When you choose manually
- You need a specific model for comparison tests.
- A compliance rule requires a fixed EU model.
- Long analysis: you deliberately want the strongest released model.
