Elicit
The Elicit connector searches over 125 million scholarly publications from the anymize chat and on request writes a literature report.

What you can do with it
Elicit has two areas: paper search, which answers at once, and reports, i.e. detailed literature reports that are created in the background. Both can be turned off separately.
- “What does the literature say about this measure's effectiveness?”
- “Find me publications from the last three years on this method.”
- “Are there papers that contradict this thesis?”
- “Write me a literature report on this research question.”
How to find the API key
- 01You need an Elicit plan from Pro up. Without API access in the plan the key is rejected.
- 02Click your name at the bottom left and open Developer, or go directly to https://elicit.com/developer.
- 03Click Create API key, give it a name and confirm.
- 04Copy the key immediately. It is shown in full only once.

How to connect Elicit
- 01In anymize open Apps, then Connectors, and search for Elicit.
- 02Paste the API key from the section above into the single field and connect.
- 03Then decide whether only search or also reports should be available.
Does a search use my Elicit quota?
The paper search does not, a report does. That is why the report is the only action in Elicit that asks first: the assistant shows you what it wants to commission and waits for your consent before quota is used.
A report typically takes five to fifteen minutes. The assistant does not wait for it, but gives you the link. Just ask later whether it is ready.
The report is created in your Elicit account. That is why Elicit is not marked “Read only”, even though the stock consists of published papers.
What is anonymized
Elicit's stock is published science; none of your data sits there. Your question still goes through anonymization: patient, client or project names and other details from your case are replaced by placeholders before a search query is made of them.
