What you can do with it
Examples from chat
Search the Musterstraße lease in my Drive and tell me the notice period. Which documents for the Berger matter are in Drive? Summarize the latest version of the articles of association. Compare the two offers in the Procurement 2026 folder. In which file is our municipality's company number?
- PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text files, CSV and Markdown are read.
- A scanned PDF without a text layer is made readable via OCR.
- Very large files are read truncated. The assistant tells you when it only had an excerpt.
Connect
- 01Open Apps, Connectors area, Google Workspace tile.
- 02On the Google Drive card, click Connect.
- 03Sign in with Google and confirm. Your password stays with Google.
- 04Done. One sign-in covers the whole suite; you add Docs and Sheets later with one click.
Can anymize change or delete my Drive files?
No. For Google Drive there are only read commands here. The assistant can search, open and summarize. It cannot move, rename, overwrite or delete, even if you ask it to.
New files can still land in your Drive, but only via the services meant for that: a new document via Google Docs, a new sheet via Google Sheets, a new presentation via Google Slides. These three actions always create something new and do not touch existing files.
If you also want to turn off reading, under Manage in the Access section switch off the Files area. Then the search tool does not exist for the assistant at all.
What gets anonymized
In a storage location the file content is the sensitive part: contracting parties, addresses, dates of birth, bank details, case numbers. The content is read and summarized in the EU, and that summary runs through anonymization before the large AI model gets it. "Lease between Anna Berger and Stadtbau GmbH, Musterstraße 12" becomes "Lease between [[PERSON_1]] and [[FIRMA_1]], [[ADRESSE_1]]" for the model.
The file name goes through the same check. It often already reveals the client name, so it is no special case.
