Skills for the team

Under Skills in anymize you distribute a skill to your whole team or to a single group, either as an offer or as mandatory.

What this page is for

A skill someone built only helps the firm once everyone has it. A law firm, for example, writes a skill for its own pleading format and distributes it to the “Lawyers” group so every draft looks the same.

This page only handles distribution. What a skill is, how you build one and what it does in chat is in the Skills documentation.

A skill does not change anonymization. Even with a skill the AI model sees placeholders instead of client names in the pleading.

The settings in detail

SettingChoiceWhat it does
Skillone of your installed or self-built skillsDecides what is distributed. You can only share what you have yourself.
ScopeWhole team or a groupWithout a group every member gets it; with a group only that group's members.
Always onon or offOn: the skill applies in every chat and every project and cannot be turned off. Off: it appears for members as installable.
Removetrash icon on the rowThe skill is no longer distributed. What someone installed voluntarily stays with them.

In the list of shared skills, under each name you see the scope - “Whole team” or the group name. The pill on the right shows “Always on” or “Optional” and toggles with one click.

Can I make a skill mandatory for everyone?

Yes - that is exactly the “Always on” checkbox. Without it a shared skill is an offer: it appears for members and they can install it or not.

With it, the skill is set. It applies in every chat and every project, and nobody can turn it off. That is the tool for anything that secures format or diligence, for example a mandatory citation style.

What the employee sees

A mandatory skill appears in their skill list as active and locked, marked “Set by the team”. The note makes it clear: the team admin activated this skill for everyone; it applies in every chat and project and cannot be turned off.

An optionally shared skill simply appears as installable, without pressure. And a skill you give only to one group never appears for anyone else.

This page exists only with a team and only for Owners and Admins. A solo account sees the entry greyed out with “Team plan only”; a regular member does not see it. Everyone can still install and build their own skills - that does not need this page.
