Using a skill
How you find a skill in the anymize library, install it and call it in chat with a slash.
4 Min
Where do I find the skills?
On the left in the sidebar under Apps, then in the Skills area. At the bottom edge you switch between two views.
- “My Skills”: everything installed for you, everything you built yourself and everything shared with you.
- “Skills Library”: the anymize catalogue, with the four packages at the top and the individual skills below.
In the library you filter on the left by industry, for example Law or Marketing, or type into the search field. Every card can be opened: then you see the full description, the bundled files and whether the skill needs a connection to another program.
Install a skill
- 01Open Apps and then Skills, then the “Skills Library”.
- 02Search for the skill or open a package and read what is inside.
- 03Click Install. For a package, “Install all” brings every skill from it in at once.
- 04Under “Availability” set whether the skill may always step in or only on your call.
- 05Switch to chat. The skill is ready immediately; you do not need to reload.
If your skill limit is reached, anymize says so when you click Install and names your plan. Then deactivate a skill you do not need right now.
Always on or only on demand?
This setting decides how much initiative a skill has. You can change it at any time.
| Setting | Behaviour | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Always | The AI knows the skill in every chat and reaches for it on its own when it fits. | Day-to-day skills, for example the human voice or your house style. |
| Manual | The skill only speaks up when you pick it with the slash or via the tools menu. | Special cases that are rare and would otherwise only get in the way. |
Do not set everything to “Always”. Ten fitting skills are better than forty of which half never apply: the larger the choice, the blurrier the AI’s decision.
How do I call a skill in chat?
Type a slash at the start of a word. A list of your active skills opens and filters as you keep typing. Pick one and write your task after it.
Example with an attachment:
/Arbeitszeugnis-Prüfer Review the attached reference. Tell me the overall grade, every coded phrase and what I should have changed.
The second path is the tools menu on the input field. There is a “Skills” row where you can switch several skills on at once for this chat. Both paths do the same; take the one that is closer to hand.
How do I see that a skill ran?
By the tool card above the answer. Every skill is a tool, and every call appears in the thread with name and icon. If the card is missing, the AI answered without the skill.
- Nothing happens? Check whether the skill is set to “Always”, or call it directly with the slash.
- The skill does not appear in the list? Then it is not installed or is deactivated. A look under “My Skills” settles it.
- The skill requires a connection you do not have? Its card says which one. Connect it under Apps and Connectors.
Pin it for a whole project
If you work in a project, you can pin skills there. What you activate in the project applies automatically in every chat of that project, without you picking it again each time. For a mandate, a tender or a campaign that is the most convenient path.
Attachments, knowledge bases and anonymization keep working as usual. If you drop a contract into the chat, anymize still replaces names and file numbers with placeholders before the model reads it.
