Collaboration.
Share.
Work together.

Knowledge bases, projects, workflows, presentations – use them together.

Collaboration means working on AI content together and sharing it – within your own team and with external people who have an anymize account, including customers and clients. Invite by email, assign granular roles, work together. And all of it stays fully inside the anonymized, Germany-hosted anymize environment – without sensitive data ever reaching a US tool or uncontrolled channels.

What is collaboration?

AI work you
do together.

Collaboration in anymize means content is no longer an isolated single-user result. A knowledge base, a project, a workflow or a presentation does not belong to one person – it can be used and developed jointly by an entire team, and by external participants with an anymize account.

Two characteristics make working together in anymize distinct:

Two founding principles

01

Protected space

Sharing happens exclusively inside the anonymized, Germany-hosted anymize environment. No email attachment to a US tool, no open link to a third-party service – collaboration never leaves the system.

02

Granular rights

Owner, editor, viewer. Each person gets exactly the role they need – no more. This enforces the need-to-know principle technically instead of merely promising it.

The result is a shared AI workplace: your team, your clients, your customers – all in the same protected environment. Build, invite, contribute, without sensitive data ever travelling outside.

Who you share with

Your team.
Your anymize universe.

Collaboration reaches beyond your own organization. anymize knows two circles of participants – both stay inside the same protected environment.

Circle 1

Within your own team

Your team is managed centrally, with clear team roles. Shared content is available to the members you authorize – no scattered individual copies.

  • Team roles: owner, admin, member
  • Centrally managed, one shared environment
  • Content shareable team-wide with granular roles
Circle 2

Within the anymize universe

You also invite external people who have an anymize account themselves by email – for example customers, clients or partners. That lets a law firm and its client, or a consultant and their customer, work together in the same protected environment.

  • Invite external anymize accounts by email
  • Customers and clients as participants – with their own role
  • Firm ↔ client, consultant ↔ customer in one system
How the invitation works

You enter an email address and choose the role. If the person has an anymize account, the shared content appears in their environment – with exactly the rights you granted.

The guarantee

Whether internal or external: everyone stays inside the same anonymized, Germany-hosted system. No one has to leave anymize, no one receives uncontrolled copies of sensitive data.

Rights management

Three roles.
Clear boundaries.

For each shared item you assign one of three roles. Every role defines precisely what a person may do – and what not.

The roles

Viewer

Betrachter

Read only. Sees the shared content, changes nothing.

Editor

Bearbeiter

Read, edit content and invite viewers – never grant higher rights.

Owner

Eigentümer

Everything: edit, delete, manage sharing settings, invite, change roles.

The rights matrix

ViewerBetrachter
  • Read content
  • Edit content
  • Invite viewers
  • Change roles
  • Manage sharing settings
  • Delete content
EditorBearbeiter
  • Read content
  • Edit content
  • Invite viewers
  • Change roles
  • Manage sharing settings
  • Delete content
OwnerEigentümer
  • Read content
  • Edit content
  • Invite viewers
  • Change roles
  • Manage sharing settings
  • Delete content
No rights escalation

Editors may only ever invite viewers – never grant higher rights. Changing roles and deleting content remains reserved for the owner. That way permissions never spread uncontrolled and the need-to-know principle stays enforceable.

GDPR & anonymization

Share without
exposing data.

The decisive difference to classic collaboration: sharing happens exclusively inside the anonymized, Germany-hosted anymize environment. Sensitive data never reaches a US tool or an uncontrolled channel.

Without anymize

  • Email attachments

Documents with real names and case numbers end up uncontrolled in foreign mailboxes.

  • US tools

Shared files travel through services that are not GDPR-compliant and not hosted in Germany.

  • Open links

Share links to third-party services can barely be retrieved or controlled.

With anymize

  • Inside the system

The share lives and ends inside the anymize environment – no handed-out copies in foreign tools.

  • Hosted in Germany

All participants work in the same anonymized, GDPR-compliant infrastructure.

  • Granularly governed

Roles decide who may see and do what – changeable or revocable at any time.

Need-to-know, enforced technically

Granular rights are more than convenience – they are lived data protection. Viewers only see what they are meant to see. Editors cannot escalate rights. Owners keep full control over visibility and deletion. That turns the GDPR principle of "as little access as necessary" into an enforced rule rather than a hope.

Use cases

What collaboration
looks like in practice.

Four typical constellations from real work:

Law firm shares with client
Shared content

Mandate knowledge base

Assigned role

Viewer

Why this way

The client reads along with the curated state – without being able to change it.

Consulting team builds together
Shared content

Project knowledge base

Assigned role

Editor

Why this way

Multiple consultants maintain the same context, each adding their own knowledge.

Customer collaborates in project
Shared content

Shared project

Assigned role

Editor

Why this way

The customer contributes input directly in the project, instead of email ping-pong.

Internal team shares automation
Shared content

Workflow

Assigned role

Editor / viewer

Why this way

Defined once, used team-wide – no rebuilding per person.

The pattern

Collaboration lives where knowledge no longer belongs to one person but to an endeavor. You don't share a file – you share a living context, with exactly the rights each person needs, and entirely inside the protected environment.
