What is Bring Your Own Model?
Your own endpoints, cleanly connected.
Some teams run their own models – self-hosted in their own data center, as a dedicated cloud deployment, or with an EU provider under a special contract. With Bring Your Own Model you connect any OpenAI-compatible model directly to anymize: an endpoint URL and an API key are all it takes.
Endpoint + key
Enter the OpenAI-compatible base URL, store the API key – done. The key is stored AES-256-GCM encrypted.
Test the connection
One click verifies the connection before the model goes live – no surprises in chat.
Your own icon
Give your model a face: pick an icon from the library or upload your own image.
In the model picker
Your model appears in its own Your models section – right at the top of the model picker.

Group permissions apply automatically
Your own models are subject to the same model permissions as all others: admins decide per group or user who may use them.
Governable team-wide
Admins can block personal own models team-wide – as an enforceable policy in the Governance Center.
Secure in the details
API keys are stored AES-256-GCM encrypted and never returned to the browser. Ownership is verified before every use – nobody can use another team's model (or key).
